Our dream at The BookMarket is not for you to buy a book. No! We have evolved beyond just making a sale. We create a learning and explosive experience that would make you go home pick up an old book and read it. Nigeria and Africa as a whole is a storytelling continent, the typical customer would be more enthralled with a reading culture than just selling an item.

We sell stories, values, and traditions. Our punchline states: Read A Book A Day, that there lies the crux of what we do, we need our existing and prospective customers to love reading, imbibe it in their daily routine so it’s a habit. A great habit that would improve not only their lives in all spheres but improve society at large. That’s what makes us stand out. We are not in business to just sell you a book, we are in it to make you fall in love with books, reading, and education.

We celebrate and affiliate ourselves with education, writers, literary enthusiasts, publishers, etc. We initiated the Book Club Awareness Initiative (BAI) and the hashtag #bookclubawarenessinitiative on Instagram to drive awareness of book clubs in various localities, connect readers to book clubs and improve the reading culture. The way we see it, reading is a culture and a beautiful way of life and we are building the biggest community of readers in the continent one reader a day.
