Description

Nightbloom tells the intricate, emotionally charged story of Selasi and Akorfa, cousins who grow up as inseparable best friends in Ghana—Selasi worldy and outgoing, Akorfa quiet and studious. As teenagers, Selasi withdraws, built walls around herself, and drifts apart from Akorfa.

Years later, their lives take divergent paths:

• Akorfa goes to the U.S. (Pittsburgh) to study medicine and later works in international development, where she confronts racism and new challenges.
