Slum2school Africa is a volunteer-driven developmental organization with a vision to transform society by empowering disadvantaged children to realize their full potential.
Founded in 2012, we recognize that there are severe shortcomings in the educational sector in Africa and in this area, seek to improve the lives of Africa’s most precious resource – her children.
We provide educational scholarships, create learning spaces and provide other psychosocial support for disadvantaged and vulnerable children in slums and indigent communities.
This is achieved by collaborating with the government, private sector, individuals and other developmental agencies towards building a resourceful and sustainable network to secure educational opportunities for children from disadvantaged communities. Subsequently building a network of socially responsible youths with a mindset oriented towards achieving social development.
Our activities range from providing educational opportunities, building learning spaces, implementing mentorship programs, engaging with policymakers, advocating, promoting volunteerism, developing the communities and celebrating the humanity of every child we are privileged to support.
Slum2School Africa currently operates in Lagos State with various projects implemented in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Borno, Kaduna. There are plans to expand to other parts of Nigeria and Africa.
