The Henna Wars is a spirited YA romantic comedy about Nishat, a Bangladeshi-Irish teen in Dublin who comes out to her conservative Muslim parents—only to be met with uncomfortable silence and resistance. When her school announces a business competition, she launches a henna stall that reflects her cultural heritage—but her crush and childhood friend, Flávia, opens a rival henna stand, sparking tension over cultural appropriation, rivalry, and emerging attraction.
