Description

Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands picks up after the events of the first book in the series. Emily Wilde, a scholar of faerie lore, has published the world’s first comprehensive encyclopaedia of faeries and is now embarking on a new project.

Her colleague (and former rival) Wendell Bambleby is more than he seems—he is an exiled faerie king whose realm has been usurped by his stepmother. He wishes to reclaim his throne and return home, and Emily, despite her reluctance about marriage and involvement in the Faerie world, agrees to help him.

When assassins sent by Wendell’s stepmother invade Cambridge, Emily and Wendell are forced into action. Their quest leads them to the Austrian Alps in search of a nexus—a faerie door or portal—that might allow Wendell to access his realm again and challenge his family’s dark machinations.
