Description

Olive Smith, a third-year PhD candidate, doesn’t believe in lasting romantic relationships—but her best friend does. To convince her friend that she’s happily dating, Olive impulsively kisses the first man she sees… and that man turns out to be Dr. Adam Carlsen, a young hotshot professor with a reputation for being grumpy, arrogant, and utterly terrifying.

Surprisingly, Adam agrees to play along and pretend to be her boyfriend. What starts as a fake relationship quickly escalates into a very real connection as Olive begins to see sides of Adam she never expected—kind, supportive, and even a little vulnerable.
